Business Podcasts: My Top 5 for Entrepreneurs & Professionals Vanessa Santamaria Contributor Miami Moms Blog

I’ve always wanted to hire a business coach, but that’s not always possible. As an entrepreneur and creative professional, I believe that life is a never-ending learning experience so continuous education is key to staying on top of your game.

A couple of years ago, I started listening to business podcasts and I was hooked. I realized that this was the next best thing to having a real-life mentor.

As a busy working mom, I don’t get to enjoy my favorite podcasts as often as I’d like, so I usually download new episodes to my iPhone and listen to them while driving, cleaning, or just enjoying my morning cup of coffee. I find that it boosts my mood and gets me pumped up for the day. Sometimes I hear a discussion and it sparks an idea for my business. Or I’m inspired to write a blog or social media post about the topic, so I pause it and jot down my thoughts in my Notes app, so I don’t forget about it later.

I have laughed, cried, learned new things, and had several “aha moments” while tuning in to my favorite podcasts. I find that it’s therapeutic and one of my favorite self-care indulgences. The best podcasters make things seem relatable, so you feel like they really “get” you. They speak to you like you’re a close friend, and they provide valuable information and actionable steps to help you solve issues that arise in business. They’re using their God-given gift of gab and zone of genius to connect with listeners, educate and inspire others.

Here are my top 5 business podcasts.

While compiling this list, I realized that I barely listen to any men. There’s no particular reason for this. I’m drawn to podcasts hosted by women — maybe that’s because it almost feels like catching up with one of my gal pals. Since I own a content marketing company, you’ll notice that these are geared toward creative entrepreneurs. But even if you work in another field, I think you’ll still find these podcasts informative and entertaining.

1. Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield

Amy is the queen of email lists and online courses, but she also educates hundreds of thousands of people about all things digital marketing. She knows how to engage her audience and teach them about sales strategies. Honestly, I love the sound of her voice and I always feel like I’ve learned something new or begin to look at things differently after listening to her. She worked for Tony Robbins before going out on her own.

2. The Goal Digger Podcast with Jenna Kutcher

Jenna is the real deal. She doesn’t hold back, and I love that about her. She talks about her business mistakes, what she wishes she had done differently (or earlier), her miscarriages, and she embraces her body and all that it was made to do. Before becoming a self-made millionaire, she was a wedding photographer. Girl bosses will love what she has to share.

3. The Jasmine Star Show

Jasmine is an amazing social media expert who dropped out of law school to pursue her dream of becoming a photographer. These days, she runs a social media empire and inspires you to get the work done, no matter what stage you’re at in your business. She provides a wealth of knowledge in every episode. Her message is basically that you don’t need to be the best as long as you work hard and stay consistent.

4. The Influencer Podcast with Julie Solomon

Julie was a successful PR pro before launching her own lifestyle blog and later her business podcast. These days, the New York Times bestselling publicist shares branding secrets, marketing strategies and interviews top influencers to learn more about their stories and behind the scenes tidbits. If you’re looking for insightful interviews and tips for growing your business, check out her podcast.

5. The School of Greatness with Lewis Howes

Lewis is a former professional athlete who suffered a career-ending injury and his life took a surprisingly different turn. Now a New York Times bestselling author, keynote speaker, and well-known entrepreneur, he empowers you to be the best version of yourself. His wildly popular podcast not only focuses on business strategies, but also health and fitness, mental health, and life lessons.

I hope you found this list helpful. I’d love to hear which business podcasts you listen to, so I can add them to my list.

Dream big, my friend!
Vanessa
