Miami Moms Blog’s First Year
Miami Moms Blog has a lot to celebrate! Over 400 published blog posts, 100+ local and national partnerships, 30+ team members, 20+ events, and 1 purpose: encouraging and equipping local Moms.
Team Members, Moms from the community, and local business partners joined the celebration at the world famous Ball & Chain on Calle Ocho. The event was sponsored by Dr. Bob Pediatric Dentist, Ball & Chain, and Gymboree Miami. The Birthday Bash featured food and drinks, giveaways, a photo booth, and salsa dancing! Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us!
The Venue: Ball & Chain
Ball & Chain, an iconic salsa bar in Little Havana, has a rich history dating back to the mid 1900’s. The famed pineapple stage has welcomed notable musicians throughout the years. Miami Moms Blog enjoyed a Havana Nights-inspired celebration at this Miami gem.
The Decor
Quintessential Party Planning led the charge in creating a beautiful night themed to match the locale. The Miami vibe was strong throughout the evening. Vibrant latin hues, branded mini bongo drums, and classic mojitos served in Miami Moms Blog cups were among the memorable details.
Personalized dominoes by Calligrapher Tinta y Pulso were spread out on tables to recognize and honor Miami Moms Blog team members.
Vero Balloon supplied the towering balloon pillars. The balloon arch framed the focal point of the Birthday Bash. The cake created by Sweet Treat Designs was perched on a full size bongo!
Guests were awed by the gorgeous floral designs of Passion Flowers Ventures. Pineapple centerpieces with tropical flowers were situated throughout the venue. Miami Moms Blog Founder, Cierra Bragan, was particularly intentional to include pineapples in the event design.
“Pineapples are the international sign of hospitality. The definition of hospitality is ‘extending love to strangers.’ The people in the Miami Moms Blog community that we know today as friends were strangers a year ago. What has united them? The hospitality and love they have experienced. This is Miami Moms Blog. This is worth celebrating!”
Every detail was thoughtfully designed to exude the excellence that Miami Moms Blog is known for.
The Food
Our hosts, Ball & Chain, provided delicious passed appetizers. Sweet Treat Designs created mouthwatering desserts including rum infused cupcakes!
The Giveaways & Swag
Guests of the event went home with a bag of goodies. Some lucky guests won great prizes including a facial from Selah Skin Studio, a Gymboree Membership, a blowout from Blo Brickell, gift card from Serrano & Dina, and even a photo session with professional photographer Alicia Bradish.
The Entertainment
Ball & Chain provided the perfect backdrop for everyone to meet and mingle. Guests enjoyed live jazz music. The venue livened up when the salsa dancers joined the party to show off their skills.
Elite Photo Booth South Florida added fun to the evening with their digital photo booth. Guests could snap photos with a number of signs from Popsigns.co and immediately receive their photos via Airdrop. Check out the Photo Booth pictures here.
The Cause
The event benefited the Miami Diaper Bank. This amazing organization provides diapers for South Florida families in need. Birthday Bash attendees generously donated more than 1,000 diapers.
